Expressions of interest are called from 16 suitably qualified, current and emerging volunteer firefighters looking to be included in the inaugural Brigade Officer Development Program (BODP).
The week-long program, to be held 26-30 September 2022, will provide personnel management and leadership training to assist current serving Brigade Officers in conducting their operational and administrative duties.
This live-in program will provide an understanding of various rural fire subjects such as Fire Weather, Fire Control Officer, Assist with Planned Burning and Machine Supervision.
The following essential pre-requisites will apply:
• Active member of a BFB/VFES/VFRS brigade;
• 5 years operational experience;
• Level 1 Incident Controller;
• CBFCO/LG endorsement; and
• Regional endorsement (CESM/AO/DO/SUPT)
