EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - INAUGURAL BRIGADE OFFICER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 2022

Expressions of interest are called from 16 suitably qualified, current and emerging volunteer firefighters looking to be included in the inaugural Brigade Officer Development Program (BODP).

The week-long program, to be held 26-30 September 2022, will provide personnel management and leadership training to assist current serving Brigade Officers in conducting their operational and administrative duties.

This live-in program will provide an understanding of various rural fire subjects such as Fire Weather, Fire Control Officer, Assist with Planned Burning and Machine Supervision.

The following essential pre-requisites will apply:
• Active member of a BFB/VFES/VFRS brigade;
• 5 years operational experience;
• Level 1 Incident Controller;
• CBFCO/LG endorsement; and
• Regional endorsement (CESM/AO/DO/SUPT)

Those interested are invited to complete and submit their Expression of Interest (page 3 of the attached circular) by 16 May 2022.
