WAFES Conference 2022

The 11th annual WA Fire and Emergency Services (WAFES) Conference will be held on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 September 2022 at Crown Perth. Programming for the event is progressing, including the ever popular Friday tours (these book out quickly so make sure you get in early!) and workshops, welcome sundowner and Saturday's presentations and speakers. The WAFES Awards gala dinner will again round out the program on Saturday evening

Registrations for the Conference opened on 1 June 2022.

Brigades, groups and units (BGUs) are responsible for endorsing volunteers to attend the WAFES Conference with each BGU entitled to two places.

BGU leaders will receive an email requesting they endorse volunteers to attend. Endorsed volunteers will then receive an email with a link to complete their online conference registration by Monday 18 July 2022.

Any remaining conference places will be filled by an expression of interest process open to all DFES volunteers in late July.

Volunteers who accept a place at the conference agree to attend all sessions in the Saturday conference program and have access to optional events including the Friday tours or workshops, welcome sundowner and WAFES Awards gala dinner.

Volunteers who are interested in attending this year's Conference should discuss with their Captain in the first instance.  For more information on the conference program, registrations and livestream visit the WAFES conference website here.
